It all started from a headache...

... on Thursday. Then followed the very bad flu which started on Friday and it seems like it's never ending because till now, I am still feeling sucky even after popping half a box of flu panadol. =(

Anyway, despite having a bad headache on Thursday, I still met up with Jan, Gary and his wife Emily for dinner at Buckaroo BBQ & Grill. It's located all the way at Sembawang, 12b Andrews Avenue to be exact, very near the Bottle Tree Village.

Gary recommended this place which serves buffaloes like those in Seletar Sunset Grill & Bar. But if you ask me after trying both restuarant, that which is better, I definitely choose Buckaroo. Not only that it's almost impossible to reach Sunset Grill, I didn't really like the ambience and the food there.

I had level 5 of the buffaloes wings at Sunset Grill and didn't enjoy it at all. It wasn't the kind of chilli taste which I like. The chilli tasted raw and tobasco sauce is too strong for my liking.

Red Hot.

After a lesson learnt, I decided to just go for level 1 at Buckaroo and also Emily couldn't take chilli too.

Not so red hot.

At least I could taste the chicky wings properly without feeling as if I drunk myself with tobasco.

Gary strongly recommended the clam chowder from Buckaroo and told us that it's a must try even though both Jan and me don't really like clam chowder in the first place. We shared one and totally loved it!

In a bun.

The bun was crispy on the outside and tasted best when dipped into the clam chowder. Clam chowder itself was very creamy and didn't come with a stinky clam seashell taste (if you get what I mean). Nice!

Their onion rings were served in a very interesting way.

In a row.

Definitely true authentic onion rings made from pure onions and they also came with specially made sauce.

Lastly, we shared a combo set which consisted of steak, chicken and ribs.

Combo for share.

I didn't really enjoy the bbq sauce they spread on the ribs and chicken but the steak was very tender and juicy.

Speaking of steak, D_D is bringing me to Equinox this coming Friday to celebrate our anniversary in advance! Time does fly! We'r gonna be celebrating our first anniversary in afew days time! I already have in mind what I would be blogging for that special day! Be back for more! ;)

Janice and Mei had their first Icing Gifts pary yesterday at Kovan Melody function room and it was a great success! I went over after work at around 1pm and there was already quite a crowd! The decorations were so Icing Gifts, so sweet!

As you can see, they have gingerbread man for kids to decorate and have fun! Lotsa icings and candy were provided!

Sweet booth.

They also have a best-dressed award and I am one of the norminees!

Credits from Icing Gifts facebook.

But I didn't win. Hee... Didn't expect to be chosen in the first place anyway, think it's the icing blue color cardi I wore that got me in. ;)

Not only didn't I win the best-dressed award, I didn't have luck from their lucky draw too. Hee...

Lucky dip!

But it's ok, I bought quite afew pretty stuffs from them! Take a look at their products on display!

Laptop bags and carrier.

Cute pouches.

Exquisite jewelleries.

There were so many things going on and they even have an invited artist to draw cards on the spot.

I would say that the event was indeed a very successful one and I could tell that everyone had their share of fun there!

I am so happy for my dear friend! =D

Not quite the usual Sunday...

My parents just left for China today and I've to stay over at their place to look after Jerry while they are away for this whole week.

All the sacrifices done just to look after Jerry!

Shaggy the dog drooling at his treats!

Shaggy the dog begging for his treats!

Anyway, I made some simple dishes for dinner today since we've got the whole house to ourselves!

D_D's all time favorite luncheon meat and fried promphet fish as per requested. Vegetables and sour and spicy soup to complete the meal with! I am planning to make rosti for our next meal! =)

Earlier on, I went to Lewis and Imn Siew's ROM at Aranda Country Club. I am glad that that gave us the chance to catch up with one another!

During the solemnization...

Love her hairdo.

Think they were exchanging their vows here.

& to end with, it's me and the bride once more!

Opps! Candid!

There it is!

Alright, I've got to stop here!

I still need to wake up even earlier to reach my workplace on time tomorrow morning and I hope there wouldn't be any major traffic jam to make the trip even more unbearable.

Goodnight to all! =)

Sweet Ending...

Alright! It's time for my last post on my Honeymoon! I know I know... I actually took almost a year to finish up on this travelog. But I only got to do it out of my spare time ma... =X

Anyway! Lourve Museum! The famous museum in Paris which D_D wanted to visit so much. I could really tell that he's making his tickets worth it because he was slowly scrutinizing every piece of art there.

Moving up from the underground carpark.

The overall layout of The Louve.

The inverted pyramid from below.

D_D & the inverted pyramid.

We took lots of photos there, mainly the structures and the pieces of art. Below are just photos of them. You can skip this portion if they don't interest you. =)

Naked statues ranging from men to women to kids! ;)

We saw the very famous Venus de Milo! There were so many people surrounding her, trying to take a photo with her.

D_D with Venus de Milo.

And we also saw the Nike of Samothrace which was built to honour a sea battle.

Winged Victory of Samothrace.

Beautiful architects and displays...

Some of the paintings...

School children having lessons.

Some of the paintings are just disturbing and I can't really figure out why they were drawn this way.

Ouch! The snake bite my nipples!

-_-'''

What's the pointing visiting Lourve without seeing the world famous Mona Lisa?

From far.

D_D with Mona Lisa.

Mimicking her smile?

More hugass paintings which D_D was totally drawn into...

I took sometime to drag him out of the museum. -_-'''

More camwhoring with the landmark of the Lourve.

Heiki's triangle!

D_D's triangle!

D_D acting detective. -_-'''

One last photo with the glass pyramid.

That was the last destination of our wonderful and memorable trip to Europe and it was time to go home. On the way to the airport at night....

Beautifully lined.

Looking like a row of champagne glasses.

On the way home in the SQ plane...

SA Tours gave us a surprise!

Our great surprise!

Thank you SA Tours!

The sweet surprise summed up the whole trip with a sweet note, leaving us with lots of wonderful memories. Totally a wonderful experience for both of us! =)

Thumbs up! =)

The place where the journey starts...

D_D and I went on an adventure trip last Saturday!

We walked and walked...

Till we found the Nigara Falls!

Yah right! Hehe...

That was taken at Hyatt and we were there to spend our complimentary one night anniversary stay from our wedding banquet.

We were very pleased that they actually provided us with a Junior Suite, exactly what we got on our wedding day itself!

The wide entrance.

Workplace.

Living area.

Bedroom.

The spot where I did my makeup on the actual day.

Back to back.

Love the hangers!

Grand looking toilet with the marble walls.

Need a pee?

How about a bath?

Toiletries!

More toiletries!

We initially planned to spend our day walking and shopping around Orchard area but decided to spend more time relaxing and chilling out in the comfortable room. Why waste the chance? We don't always get such freebies everyday! ;)

Tea and coffee to keep us warm.

Reading to catch up with the latest news & trends.

But of course we did go out for our meals and to take a look at the christmas lightups. Tangs lightings is the best! Very very bling bling! I like!!

Shinny!

Shinner!

Shinniest!

Hyatt is really a memorable place for both of us. I still remember we walked pass there when we were still dating and I pointed out to D_D that maybe we could have our wedding dinner there but he just gave me a weird look. Who knows, we really had our banquet held there afew years after!

Though it's not our first year anniversary yet, going back to the place where our marriage first started did bring back alot of memories, not only for that day, but also the process of booking and finalizing things to make the day a perfect day for both of us.

Very true indeed, like what people always say, though the outcome is very important, it's also important to enjoy the process. Now that I think back, even though the process was tedious and time consuming, it was fun and unforgettable. =)
